Every year tons of electronic items are manufactured and it become e-waste material due to obsolete and innovation. India is the fifth largest e-waste producer in the world.

Swachh Bharat Conducted by Veltech

Veltech Dr. RR & Dr. SR Institute of Science and Technology successfully conducted a 100-hour Swachh Bharat Summer Internship Campaign focused on e-Waste Recycling and Solid Waste Management. This initiative aimed to create awareness about sustainable waste disposal practices and encourage students to actively participate in environmental conservation efforts.

SWATCH BHARAT PROGRAM CAMP 2018

Swachh Bharat Program Camp 2018 – Vellanoor Village
Organized by Vel Tech, Avadi

In 2018, Vel Tech organized a 100-hour Swachh Bharat awareness camp in Vellanoor Village as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission, an initiative launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote cleanliness across India.

This intensive awareness program aimed to educate the local community on the importance of hygiene, waste management, and sustainable sanitation practices. Volunteers, including students and faculty members from Vel Tech, actively participated in spreading awareness through door-to-door campaigns, public speeches, and interactive sessions.

SWACHH BHARATH PROGRAM/VELTECH/ AVADi

Veltech Dr. RR & Dr. SR Institute of Science and Technology, Avadi, actively conducted a 100-hour Swachh Bharat Summer Internship Program at Pammadhukulam, focusing on e-Waste Recycling and Solid Waste Management. This initiative was part of the nationwide Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, aimed at promoting cleanliness, sustainability, and responsible waste disposal.
